WFAE's Krissa Palmer has a lot of questions about life in our region, one of which is who's responsible for the lights at the Duke Energy Center skyscraper uptown? Tuesday night, for example, it was lit up in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory will almost surely make another run for the governor's office in 2012, but so far he's only hinting at a "big announcement" he plans to make early next year.

There are some strategic advantages to McCrory delaying his formal announcement while still acting like a candidate.

Pat McCrory would have us believe he's doing us all a favor by waiting until after the first of the year to formally announce his candidacy for governor.

LegalZoom.com, NC State Bar In Legal Fight

LegalZoom.com and the North Carolina State Bar are headed to court.

LegalZoom, which provides online legal documents and subscription legal services, has filed a lawsuit against the state bar over its refusal to register the company in North Carolina, the News & Observer reports.

The state bar contends LegalZoom's services amount to the unauthorized practice of law. LegalZoom disagrees and wants a judge to rule that it can sell legal forms and register to sell prepaid legal services, the N&O's Craig Jarvis reports.

County Commission Consider Harassment Policy For Board

Mecklenburg County has a harassment policy when it comes to employees. But not when the complaint is against a member of the county commission. Commissioners will consider such a policy at Tuesday's board meeting.

The City of Charlotte got in a bind last year when an employee accused city councilman Warren Turner of sexual harassment. The city had a harassment policy for employees, but not for elected officials. So no one was sure how to deal with it.
