Charlotte Talks Friday News Roundup: Special 'News And Brews' Election Edition From Birdsong Brewery

Erin Keever / WFAE

Friday, November 3 2017

Host Mike Collins and our roundtable of reporters gather at Birdsong Brewery in NoDa to talk about the local election.  We’re just a few days away from electing our 6th mayor in 4 years, several members of city council and school board members, too.  We’ll talk about the latest on the candidates, the races and the other items on the ballot you’ll want to keep your eye on.

On this special edition of the Local News Roundup...

We’re just a few days from a local election in Charlotte that will give us a new mayor (and this week the candidates participated in their final mayoral debate), several new members of city council, new school board members, and a major school bond for nearly $1 billion is up for vote.

Areas outside of Charlotte are having important elections as well. We'll take you through all the details.

And our own Tom Bullock will give us his conclusions of his exploration into elections through his Candidate Me podcast.
