On the Local News Roundup...

Coastal areas of both Carolinas were heavily impacted by Hurricane Florence over the weekend, and then devastation continued into this week as water levels continued to rise in flooded areas. Here in Charlotte, some areas sustained damaged from downed trees and flooding, and many people were without power for periods of time, but much of the region escaped even minor damage. We’ll talk about the aftermath of the storm in areas around the state, President Trump's visit to the affected areas, and about the plans for recovery and rebuilding.

The 2nd anniversary of the shooting of Keith Lamont Scott was this week, almost one month after the Scott family filed a lawsuit against the City and the officer who shot Mr. Scott. We’ll look back at the events of that shooting and the protests that followed.

Wells Fargo announced Thursday that it will cut tens of thousands of jobs over the next three years. We'll talk about the Charlotte impact.

Family Dollar is closing its headquarters in Matthews. The company is now owned by Dollar Tree and the company is consolidating the headquarters. We’ll find out what’s happening to the 900 employees affected by the closure.

Those topics and more with Mike Collins and our roundtable of reporters on the Charlotte Talks Local News Roundup.
