The nation’s attention is still tuned to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, amid hearings this week that address accusations of sexual assault by Kavanaugh.

Republican lawmakers from North and South Carolina have had different responses to the hearings—Thom Tillis promising to keep an open mind, while Richard Burr and Lindsey Graham plan to back Kavanaugh regardless of the hearing. We’ll delve into the details.

Charlotte City Council is considering switching from two year terms to four year terms, because of the rigors of running for office every two years.  We’ll talk about the debate for and against the change and how it might affect Charlotteans.

Officials in Charlotte are considering selling or donating city-owned land in support of affordable housing efforts in the city. We’ll talk about where the land is and how it would help the city meet its affordable housing goals.
