Charlotte Talks

Fri March 14, 2008
Ethos Consortium
By editor
It's a conversation about African-American composers of Art Music in the 20th Century on today's show. Ethos composer Paul Oakley will join us in advance of the Ethos Consortium Chamber Choir's presentation of "The Colors of Africa: Sung in Black and White" at the Halton Theater on March 14. The concert will feature works by African-American composers and will benefit the Afro American Cultural Center. On this edition of Charlotte Talks, we'll talk about African-American composers of many genres and play some of the music they've created. Contact the show: 704-926-9323, 800-603-9323, charlottetalks@wfae.org or comment at Charlotte Blogs.
