Folk music has broad appeal and extensive influence. It has been used for decades for protests and by musicians to tell simple, relatable stories. But, folk as we know it now is not the folk of the past. More and more artists are fusing it with other genres to create unique sounds, while still using the folk label. We explore these questions and hear from modern folk musicians.
