Recently-fired Hornets head coach Steve Clifford has a new job. The Orlando Magic announced that it has chosen Clifford to be the team’s new head coach.
It’s not Clifford's first time with the Magic. He served as Orlando’s assistant coach from 2007 to 2012.
The Hornets hired Clifford in 2013 when the team was still called the Bobcats. His record in Charlotte was 196-214 and included just two postseason appearances.
The Hornets finished the season 36-46 before Clifford's dismissal and went on to hire San Antonio Spurs assistant coach James Borrego as his replacement.
