A Durham nonprofit says it has "temporarily suspended" sales of solar power on a church rooftop in Greensboro, complying with an order from state utility regulators last month.
NC WARN had challenged state law when it installed solar panels on Faith Community Church in Greensboro last year. The group kept ownership of the panels, and sold power to the church.
But state law doesn't allow third parties to sell electricity, and the N.C. Utilities Commission on April 15 ordered the church to stop.
NC WARN says it plans to appeal.
