President Donald Trump is scheduled to campaign in Charlotte next Friday for Republican Congressional candidates Mark Harris and Ted Budd, according to an official in the Republican party.
The rally will be held at Bojangles' Coliseum in east Charlotte at 7 p.m., according to the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority.
This will be Trump's first trip to Charlotte since he spoke at Central Piedmont Community College in late August. The president also held a fundraiser at Carmel Country Club.
Both Harris and Budd are in tight races.
Harris is running against Democrat Dan McCready in the 9th Congressional District, which stretches from Charlotte to Fayetteville.
Budd, an incumbent, is running against Democrat Kathy Manning in the 13th District, which includes parts of Greensboro, Salisbury and Mooresville.
