Police have found the three-year-old Gastonia girl reported missing in an Amber Alert sent out Sunday morning and have arrested the man accused of abducting her, according to multiple reports.
Authorities believe Destiny Boykins was abducted from an apartment off Hudson Boulevard early Sunday morning by her father Maurice Knox, 57. The vehicle initially described in the alert was found abandoned off Interstate 77 near Westinghouse Boulevard. Police then began pursuing a different vehicle they believed Knox was driving.
WSOC says authorities located Knox after a crash near Remount Road. The young girl was in the car and was treated for minor injuries. She has been reunited wih her mother, WSOC reports.
Knox is being charged with domestic criminal trespass, breaking and entering, assault on a female, felonious restraint, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, child endangerment and careless and reckless driving, according to WBTV.

An amber alert was issued Sunday for a three-year-old girl in Gastonia.
The alertsays Destiny Boykins was abducted from an apartment off Hudson Boulevard.
Destiny is described as a three-year-old black female, weighing 30 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing “wearing lavender top with dots and pink trim around the neck and purple pajama pants with animal pictures and pink socks,” the alert says.
Authorities suspect Maurice Knox, 57, of abducting the young girl. He is described as a black male, around 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds. He was last wearing black rim glasses, red long sleeve shirt, red pants and red shoes. The alert does not say if Knox is related to the young girl.
The alert says Knox was last seen travelling northbound from 2079 Hudson Boulevard. The vehicle is a brown 2015 Nissan Altima with North Carolina license tag number DBL4139.
