Why support WFAE
Your membership provides us with the dollars it takes to pay for NPR® and APM® and PRI® programs and WFAE produced news and Charlotte Talks with Mike Collins. Your annual support allows us to provide you with the dynamic mix of news, information and entertainment you depend on. WFAE receives 92% of its operating funds from right here in the listening area. Individual contributors and businesses make up the lion's share of the money it takes to keep WFAE strong. Here's how that looks.

Our members say it best:
I have been a member of WFAE for almost 20 years. I listen to WFAE more than any other radio station in Charlotte. It’s the way I keep up with world and local news. My friends think I’m so smart because I’m always up on current events (boy do I have them fooled). I tell them that I get all of my information from listening to WFAE. I prefer to listen to WFAE as opposed to watching the local and national news which always seems to be “doom and gloom”, and is quite depressing. WFAE is informative, yet entertaining. I enjoy WFAE because of the diversity and variety of its’ programming, subject matter and topics. When I travel out of town and listen to other public radio stations, they don’t compare to the high quality of programming that I get from WFAE. This includes the superb radio personalities at WFAE. Were it not for WFAE, I would truly be lost. Keep up the good work! - Donna N. Johnson
I became a member of WFAE when I was 18 years old. And here, nearly 5 years later, WFAE has been my partner through some of the greatest times in my life. From high school graduation to college graduation, new jobs and new relationships, WFAE has played a large part in my development as an informed and inquisitive member of not just Charlotte, the city I live in, but the world I live in. Thanks WFAE and I look forward to all the great things we'll do in the future. - Seth Brazell
