Uptown Charlotte gets gourmet street food

Julie Rose
Monday August 24, 2009

Grateful Growers co-owner Cassie Parsons and food cart chef Zack Renner. Street carts serving up gourmet, locall-grown food are the rage right now in big cities like New York and San Francisco. But street food in Charlotte still means mainly tacos and hot dogs. The Owners of Grateful Growers Farm in Lincloln County think the city's ready to trade hot dogs for pork pate'. WFAE's Julie Rose paid a lunchtime visit to their uptown cart.
