Marcus Jackson Scandal Costs Continue To Go Up

The city of Charlotte has settled a second lawsuit involving former CMPD officer Marcus Jackson. The settlement with a 17-year-old girl is for $350,000. She was one of the first two victims to report to police in December 2009 that Jackson sexually assaulted her. She told police that he promised not to write her a ticket if she performed oral sex. "This has been a traumatic and difficult experience for her," attorney Ed Hinson told the Charlotte Observer. The city settled with another Marcus Jackson victim in October for $225,000. Jackson was sentenced to two years in prison last month after pleading guilty to sexually assuating six women.
