LGBT Issues and Election Season: Opposition to NC Amendment 1 Election season is heating up and one group of people appears to be on the front lines. The major GOP candidates have all made gay marriage one of their agenda items and an amendment to ban same-sex marriage in North Carolina is up for a statewide vote in May. This weekend, Human Rights Campaign Carolina holds its annual gala in Charlotte but there are serious challenges ahead. Several advocates of the LGBT community join Chris Clackum to discuss gay marriage and other issues.
