Writer Edith Pearlman

Writer Edith Pearlman At age 76 and with several award winning stories under her belt, Edith Pearlman is no new-comer to the world of short story fiction. But her latest book of short stories, Binocular Vision has brought her recognition unlike anything she's had before, including several awards, glowing reviews in high profile publications like the LA Times and the New York Times Book Review. She joins us to talk about the explosion of acclaim for Binocular Vision, about why she chooses to write short stories instead of longer form fiction and about some of the stories she writes that deal with Jewish life. Guest Edith Pearlman - Short story author whose latest book of stories Binocular Vision was the only book to be named a finalist for the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the LA Times Book Award and the Story Prize all in the same year. Edith Pearlman will speak and read from her book April 18 at the Levine Jewish Community Center at 7pm. Details. Add and read comments
