The EQUALibrium Awards Gala will honor Charlotte area residents who have made outstanding contributions and impact in advancing issues of race and equity within our community.
The event will highlight the stories and achievements of these remarkable individuals who have devoted themselves to fostering inclusivity, dismantling systemic barriers and promoting equity and equality in our region.
The evening will feature engaging speakers, captivating performances and an awards ceremony that recognizes the honorees.

The EXPO is more than just a traditional career fair; it is an event where attendees can:
- Learn about the different organizations in Charlotte.- Shop from local vendors.- Discover which top employers are hiring.- Attend educational breakout sessions.- Visit the Health Hub, where attendees can receive testing, speak with a case manager, and find more resources.- Participate in the Walk-In Workshop to get help with their resumes, interview skills, and more!
This event is FREE to attend and will take place at the Junior Achievement at Camp Northend. It's not an exclusive event; everyone, whether you are LGBTQ+ or an ally, is welcome and encouraged to attend.
After the EXPO, we invite all participants to our After Hours Mixer at Noda Canteen in Camp Northend from 5-7 pm. This event is open to all, but please bring a Driver's License or another form of official ID with a birthdate on it. It's a great opportunity to network and get to know the community in a relaxed and authentic setting.
Free live music, food trucks and drinks, and hands-on art experiences are coming back to Symphony Park six times this spring at SouthPark After 5, a free entertainment and happy hour series happening every Thursday from April 18-May 23.

Local high school seniors who want to begin their college education or want to explore career training options can learn all about what Gaston College has to offer. Information on admissions, financial aid, scholarships, work-based learning and the College's many programs will be available.

Summer Concert Series returns every Thursday evening, May through July!
Enjoy live music in the great outdoors! Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Gateway Canteen’s food truck. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the music. Coolers permitted but subject to checking. No glass, tents or outside alcohol is allowed. Bags and coolers will be checked. Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome to attend; please remember to Leave No Trace.

Scholars and historians will examine historical memories of South Carolina's tri-racial past during the “Just Sharing: Building Community Through Stories of Our Past” panel discussion, featuring:
• “Memorializing and Memory: Slavery, Civil War, Jim Crow,” presented by Dr. Vernon Burton, Clemson University• “The Legacy of Violence in South Carolina,” presented by Dr. Jennifer Gunter, University of South Carolina• “Memories of Indigenous Removal and Dispossession,” presented by Dr. Evan Nooe, USC Lancaster
A reception will follow the discussion, which is free and open to the public.

Thoughts of a Colored Man features a slice of life in rapidly gentrifying Brooklyn through seven Black men’s remarkable stories. Woven together with spoken word these men share their dreams, struggles, and triumphs in a world that often refuses to listen to them.
Directed by Sidney Horton, and featuring a talented ensemble of Charlotte actors – you won’t want to miss the show critics are calling “the most important play of the 21st century.”
Thoughts of a Colored Man contains strong adult language, adult themes around race, and descriptions and depictions of anti-Black sentiments and violence. Recommend for ages 16+.
