Future Society

WFAE’s Future Society recognizes leadership donors who make annual gifts of $1,200 or more. Approximately 50 percent of our funding is provided by individual listeners, so Future Society members have a substantial impact on the journalism that informs, enriches and inspires our entire community. We would not be able to provide our trusted reporting and dynamic programming without significant, consistent support!

Future Society donors enjoy special access to events and information, including regular updates from Joe O’Connor, WFAE’s President and CEO. Future Society donors are also invited to a private tour of our studios, opportunities to meet local and national on-air personalities, sitting in on a live recording of Charlotte Talks with Mike Collins in our Uptown studio, recognition in our Annual Report, and advance notice of special events like our annual WFAE Presents program. Journalist Ted Koppel was interviewed by NPR's Michel Martin at WFAE Presents 2019, with the interview being broadcast on-air a week later.
