Tim Lightfoot, a scientist at UNC Charlotte, has been studying how genes may be keeping people on the couch or pushing them to run laps. To get at the answer, he's been tracing certain genes in mice and observing what this means for their activity levels. WFAE's Lisa Miller spoke with him about his research and the significance of DNA dictating a drive to exercise.
