Environmental Defense Fund President Says US Needs To Be Innovative About Energy

When it comes to energy in the U.S. and particularly in North Carolina, "we need to play to our strengths," says Fred Krupp, president of the Environmental Defense Fund. Krupp was a guest on Charlotte Talks with Mike Collins this morning, along with Miriam Horn. Krup and Horn co-authored "Earth: The Sequel: The Race to Reinvent Energy and Stop Global Warming." Krupp says our energy strengths in North Carolina are innovation and use of clean energy, and that America should work to export those strengths rather than chasing orther countries in the race to reinvent how we cultivate and use energy. Krupp and Horn will visit North Carolina tomorrow where they'll tour the area and speak at Catawba College in Salisbury. Listen to today's interview here.
