Attorney For Tisdale Family Plans To Sue Airport And Airline
The family of a teenager, who police believe died after stowing away in the wheel well of a plane, has gotten legal help. Delvonte Tisdale disappeared from his Charlotte home in November and was found dead the next day just outside of Boston. Investigators there believe he breached security at Charlotte Douglas International Airport and crawled into the wheel well of a U.S. Airways flight bound for Boston. The family's attorney Christopher Chestnut of Florida expects to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the airport and the airline. "The family wants to be sure that one, no other mother or no other father has to grieve like they're grieving and, moreover, that Americans who fly on commercial airliners are safe, especially those flying out of Charlotte," says Chestnut. Chestnut says had airport security been up to par, Tisdale would be alive and well with his family today.
