On Wednesday morning at 7:25 a.m., officers responded for an assist on a MEDIC call near the intersection of Willilyn Lane and Huntwood Drive in west Charlotte. They found 41-year-old Joshua Leland Cox with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations into both homicides still are ongoing. Anyone with additional information is asked to call 704-432-TIPS, or contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or charlottecrimestoppers.com.
