The 74-year-old man who was walking by the Epicentre in uptown Charlotte Monday afternoon when he was struck by a bullet has died. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, John Holaday died Saturday at Carolinas Medical Center.

Sixteen-year-old Raheem Shacklette has now been charged with murder.

Holaday was the CEO of Dispose RX, a Sanford, North Carolina, company that sells materials to dissolve unused prescription drugs. He was walking by the Epicentre when police say a fight broke out. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested Shacklette — who's from Georgia — as the suspect in the shooting. He was charged with attempted murder and possession of a stolen firearm.

Police arrested three others and charged them with simple affray, or fighting that disturbs the peace. Those charged were: 17-year-old Taizojh Smith, 19-year-old Hazeem Shacklette and 20-year-old Ulondis Edwards.
