Actress and filmmaker Naomi McDougal Jones joins us to discuss her latest film and her experience being a woman in Hollywood.

Naomi McDougal Jones is an award winning actress, writer, producer, and women-in-film activist.

Her first film "Imagine I'm Beautiful" was a critical success winning her multiple different awards. Throughout the process of getting the film made, her eyes were opened to the the culure of Hollywood — which she captured and spoke about in a TED Talk that went viral before the #MeToo movement.

Jones second film, "Bite Me," tells the story of IRS workers and vampires, and how they are interconnected. To promote the movie, she has embarked on a bus journey across America in what she is calling "The Joyful Vampire Tour Of America."

We sit down with Jones to discuss her latest film and her work as an activist, and what it is like to be a woman working in Hollywood.

Guest:

Naomi McDougall Jones, writer, actress, and producer of the film "Bite Me."

Bite Me will be screened in Charlotte at C3Lab. More info found here.
