For years, the Catholic church has been rocked by scandals involving priests accused of sexually assaulting thousands as church leaders covered it up.
Last month, the Houston Chronicle reported nearly 400 Southern Baptist leaders have been accused of sexual misconduct. In February, the United Methodist Church rejected a measure loosening restrictions on LGBTQ clergy and same-sex marriage. Religious experts share their views on the way forward.
