On the next Charlotte Talks we discuss ways to empower people by giving them the tools to find pathways to conflict resolution without resorting to guns.
The shooting at Matthew’s Butler High Schoolmay have been the result of bullying but it is certainly an example of the all too frequent reliance on guns to solve problems. Guns, of course, never solves the problem, they merely create new ones.
The shooting highlights the need to find ways to deal with conflict in a healthy manner and to teach those options at a younger age. We explore the rise in gun violence and healthier pathways to conflict resolution during this hour.
