Police have made arrests in two homicides in Charlotte earlier this year.
CMPD says Daquan Thompson, 20, has been charged with the murder of Decario Bethea, 24, on Aug. 31st. The department says officers responding to a call of assault with a deadly weapon at the Southside Apartments on Fairwood Avenue found Bethea with an apparent gunshot wound. He later died at the hospital. CMPD says Thompson was already in custody for an unrelated charge.
The department also says Rodwyn Taylor, 30, and Brinton Bertha Jr, 17, have been charged with the murder of Psi’keem Walker, 19, on July 16. CMPD says officers responding to a call of shots fired near East 16th Street and the Little Sugar Creek Greenway found Walker with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
