CMPD officer John Juhasz will not face charges in an August domestic dispute incident.

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officer will not face charges after he shot and killed an armed suspect during a domestic disturbance in August.

District Attorney Spencer Merriweather said Officer John Juhasz was justified in shooting 55-year-old Delano Williams.

Officers were called to a home in northeast Charlotte early on Aug. 2, where Williams was threatening two women, and had shot one in the leg.  When it appeared the suspect was about to shoot one of the women a second time, Juhasz fired three shots from a patrol rifle and killed him.

The D.A.'s report out Tuesday said the officer's actions likely saved the woman's life.
