E-Waste And Recycling Electronics (Rebroadcast)

Basel Action Network

When it comes to things like smartphones, tablets, computers and TVs, many of us migrate quickly from old devices to the newest and think nothing of tossing the old stuff out. According to the EPA, more than 2.5 million tons of electronic waste or e-waste is produced every year in the U.S. alone. Some of these things end up in landfills and that can be very bad for the environment. On this Earth Day, we look at some possible solutions.

Event
Sustain Charlotte's 2015 Awards and Earth Day Celebration is Wednesday, April 22, 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Historic Palmer Building on East 7th Street. Goodwill will be there collecting old devices from attendees. Tickets and details here.

Guests
Jim Puckett  - Executive Director, Basel Action Network (BAN)

Shannon Binns  - Executive Director, Sustain Charlotte

Brett Rhinehardt -  Vice President, eCycleSecure
