Charlotte, N.C. (Dec. 5, 2019) – Report For America (RFA) will send three emerging journalists to Charlotte to work with WFAE and its partner organizations - Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, Digital Public Library of America (DPLA), and La Noticia, the Spanish-language newspaper. The Library’s partnership with WFAE makes it the first library to serve as a host newsroom by RFA.

Charlotte, N.C. (Dec. 2, 2019) – WFAE 90.7, Charlotte’s NPR News Source premiered THE LIST, a four-part series on the Charlotte Diocese’s plan to release a list of clergy who have been “credibly accused” of sex abuse. The first episode of the series premiered today. New episodes will be available each day through Thursday, December 5. The series is produced and hosted by WFAE reporter Sarah Delia. Delia rose to national prominence in 2018 as the host and co-producer of WFAE’s acclaimed She Says podcast.

Charlotte, N.C. (Nov. 7, 2019) – WFAE welcomes Michael Falero as the recipient of a news reporting fellowship that’s designed to allow emerging journalists to gain local news experience, with a focus on audio and digital reporting. In addition to daily general news and feature reporting, Falero will specialize in environmental coverage as part of his fellowship.
