Affordable Housing In Charlotte
Affordable housing has long been in short supply. Now, Mayor Jennifer Roberts says we need an additional 34,000 affordable housing units in Charlotte, double the number from just a few years ago. With rents and other prices rising and income flat lining, nearly 25,000 families live in inadequate or cost-burdened housing conditions struggling to make ends meet. We examine the problem and hear about some possible solutions.
