This morning, CMS voted 8-0 on a 3 year contract for new CMS Superintendent Earnest Winston. We'll have the latest with WFAE education reporter Ann Doss Helms.

More bad news for the North Carolina Board of Elections, as Chairman Bob Cordle steps down after making an inappropriate joke. This comes just as a key vote was to take place on new elections equipment. What might this mean for the upcoming election?
