NTSB investigates deadly chemical explosion in Mooresville

Federal investigators are looking into a chemical explosion at a Mooresville industrial park that left one person dead and another injured.
The National Transportation Safety Board says it has sent a team of four investigators to the scene following Tuesday’s blast at Carolina Beverage Group on Barley Park Lane.
Mooresville Fire and Rescue officials say a cleaning chemical called sodium hydroxide ignited inside a tanker truck.
The truck’s driver was killed in the explosion, and a plant worker was injured.
