(5/19/06) A North Carolina health insurance company is waiving members' co-pays on generic drugs through the end of July. Blue Cross Blue Shield says it introduced the co-pay "holiday" a few years ago to promote greater use of generic drugs. Generic drugs already make up 56% of all drugs dispensed in the United States and insurance companies hope to make that number even larger. From the Carolinas Business Bureau, WFAE's Jaime Bedrin report.
