In North Carolina, registered sex offenders on probation are not allowed to participate in Halloween. They have to be in their homes by 5:00p.m. on October 31 or right after work. They have to turn off their porch lights and they can not open their doors to trick or treaters. But Gaston county is taking it further. The county is requiring all registered sex offenders currently on parole or probation to report to the county courthouse Halloween night. WFAE's Craig Fahle spoke with Lisha Pharr, chief of probation and parole in Gaston County.
