Water Issue Could Spur Lawsuits

Last fall, a sub-group of the North Carolina Environmental Management Commission recommended that Concord and Kannapolis be granted 10-million gallons of water a day, from both the Catawba and the Yadkin rivers. The cities were very disappointed because they'd requested significantly more. The full commission is set to make its ruling Wednesday afternoon. And by day's end, several lawsuits could be in the works. But suprisingly, none are expected to be filed by the Charlotte suburbs. WFAE's Scott Graf has more in this second part of a two-part series on the issue.
