Charlotte Residents React to Federal Plan to Stimulate Economy

(1/28/08) President Bush is expected to tout his plans for boosting the U.S. economy tonight in has final State of the Union address. The proposal calls for sending a rebate check ranging from $600 to $1,200 to nearly every American taxpayer. Government officials hope people will spend that money and fuel a rebound in the faltering economy. But it seems many in Charlotte have other plans for the money.
