Rodney Monroe will take over as Charlotte's new police chief next month. He's headed to the Queen City after leading the police department in Richmond, Virginia for three years. During his time there, the homicide rate dropped to a 26-year low. WFAE's Lisa Miller spoke with Monroe about his vision for Charlotte's force and why he dediced to take the job.
