The once distant third world is no longer so, as the recent Ebola outbreak in Africa illustrates. American volunteers work there every day and can easily be exposed and air travel has increased the possibility of transporting disease. Right now, two American missionaries are in the U.S. for treatment of Ebola and hospitals around the country are gearing up for travelers who might have been exposed. We'll talk about disease outbreak protocols today.
