Although we all go to the grocery store for food, all the food comes from farms and, according to the USDA, the number of farms and farmers are declining. We need more growers and we need to pay more attention to building the local and regional food economies. Eating local isn’t just hip, it's vital for environmental stability and keeping farmers in business. Ahead of the 'Know Your Farms Tour' this weekend, we discuss the future of food with some farmers.

  • The 7th Charlotte Area Farm Tour will be September 27-28. Details here.
