After years of war, military veterans are returning home in need of myriad services. North Carolina is home to 800,000 veterans. Understanding their health and social needs is paramount and something to be addressed next week during a UNC Charlotte conference. We take a closer look at the unique challenges faced by returning vets as well as by those in the community whose job it is to help them.
