The United States has had a contentious relationship with immigration almost from the beginning despite our being a nation of immigrants. And immigration is a theme in this year’s election, polls tell us it is the second most important issue to voters behind dissatisfaction with government. As the face of America changes, we look at immigration politics and what could change – or not – after November.
