(01/23/06) There's a winner in the bidding for the Charlotte Coliseum. A deadline passed this morning with no additional upset bids on the 154-acre site in West Charlotte. City Council members tonight are expected to approve the $23,000,000 sale to Pope and Land, Inc. The Atlanta firm plans a mixed-use development of homes, offices and retail.
