(2/13/08) The identity of a Civil War soldier buried at a Virginia battlefield comes up for debate today. An Albermarle group says the man is Sergeant Ivy Ritchie who fought for the Confederacy, though his grave identifies him as a Union soldier. Historians on both sides of the argument will present evidence to a panel, which will determine whether the gravestone needs correcting. Joel Fesperman is one of five members of the Albemarle camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans who are making their way to Virginia for the trial. WFAE's Lisa Miller asked Fesperman about the case and its background.
