College Hopes Ended for Some State Graduates

It's graduation week for thousands of high school students in the Charlotte area. Many are making plans for college. Others have recently had those hopes cut short. Eighteen-year-old Laura was set to enroll at Central Piedmont Community College when state officials declared that undocumented students are no longer welcome at North Carolina community colleges. Laura asked that we not use her last name because of her illegal status. She spoke with WFAE's Julie Rose about the impact of the community college ban on her own plans.
