Yap was a finalist in a 2006 business plan competition at UNC Charlotte and recently secured $6.5 million in venture funding. WFAE's Julie Rose spoke with Yap co-founder Victor Jablokov, who says the idea for the technology came from watching teenagers use their cell phones.
