NC Health Officials Track Flu Outbreak

State health officials say the number of flu-like illnesses reported by health care providers went down last week.  But, at least nine people died from flu-related illnesses during the week and cases of the flu remain widespread across North Carolina.   For more on the current flu outbreak, WFAE's Mark Rumsey spoke with Nicole Lee, an epidemiologist with the state’s Division of Public Health.
