Charlotte Douglas International Airport will soon introduce “sleeping pods” for travelers wanting to nap privately and more comfortably while they wait for their flights. The six new Minute Suites will include a sofa bed, a T.V., a computer, and one will have a shower. The company has operated sleeping pods in a handful of airports, including Atlanta’s for several years now. Minute Suites director, Daniel Solomon says a lot of their customers book their rooms for just a few hours.

“If they miss their connection, which happens a lot, and they get rebooked. They really find that this service is a godsend to have some place they can hold up for three or four hours,” he said.

The Minute Suites charges $42 for an hour and $140 for an overnight stay. The sleeping pods are expected to be up and running this December.
