Police are investigating a shooting that left one man critically injured in north Charlotte late Monday morning.
CMPD said officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service a little before 11:30 a.m. When they arrived on scene, they found a man inside a car with a gunshot wound. The male victim, whose name has not yet been released, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said they believe the suspect shot into the man’s car while he was driving it. The victim lost control of the car and crashed into a guardrail. No other civilians were injured during the incident, CMPD said.
