Three people are dead and one injured in what police say was a domestic homicide Monday night in Hickory.
The Hickory Police Department says officers found 32-year-old Roxanne Mitchem and 34-year old Jessica Fowler shot to death at a residence on 17th Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. Officers also found 37-year-old David Covington dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police say Covington was Fowler’s estranged husband.
A fourth person was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Police say two small children were inside the home at the time of the incident but were not injured.
