Mayor Vi Lyles joins Mike Collins to discuss the eight new affordable housing projects coming before council next week, violent crime, Charlotte signing an immigration compact and more.

Once a month, Mayor Vi Lyles joins us to talk about all things Charlotte. Today, we touch on two big issues in town: Violent Crime and Transportation.

But we’ll also hear her thoughts on the 8 affordable housing projects that come up for a council vote next Monday. They include 950 much-needed affordable housing units.

The President promised major ICE raids in cities across the country this past weekend. They didn’t materialize to the extent that was anticipated but Charlotte is taking a different approach.

We recently became the first city in the country to sign an immigration compact. We hear the mayor’s thoughts on the significance of that and more.
